Giving Thanks
I don't think that it was by chance that I read this message today:
http://livingproofministries.blogspot.com/
I find that this lesson is one I need to hear over and over as I continue to "chew" on it and make sense of it in my head.
Many of you know about the years that we spent trying to expand our family. It was then that I really tried to sort this matter out. It was during those years that I began to doubt just how much of a hand God had in the everyday matters of my life. I chalked a lot of things that happened in those years to "circumstances". I did not offer praise and thanks to the Lord for His works in my life because I truly felt like there was a lot that was out of His control. I am so thankful to have been through those years and now on the other side. I grew immensely, learned much about myself and my husband and my family, and my perspective changed quite a bit.
I think that it is because of those soul-searching years, that I do know now, wholeheartedly, that God's hand is in everything we do. It is not circumstantial that we are in London. It is not circumstantial that we are living in a hotel with 3 young boys. It is not circumstantial that the timing has been perfect (albeit a little slow!) for us to secure the home that we found months ago for our family. It has worked out just perfectly, and only because of our Maker. He deserves the praise and the glory, and I am so glad that I can give it to Him, without a doubt in my mind!

I needed to read your testimony today. You never know when you are going to be an answer to someone elses prayers! We are still strugglying with our place here in Omaha, so thinking that it is all part of the Lord's plan is what has gotten us through the past 18 months. We are always looking for what we are suppose to be learning. I will have to share with you some time my laugh out loud at myself because of what I was wearing and the circumstances I found myself in. I enjoyed the pictures of the boys so much. They are getting so big!
