Happy Birthday to Me
Yes, today I am celebrating my new middle aged status. Officially middle aged. Ouch!
I have always enjoyed celebrating birthdays, but I don't seem to be finding quite as much joy and fun in this one!
Maybe it's the fact that my energies are being exhausted as I try to figure how I got all these years under my belt so quickly. I still feel like a 21 year old newlywed! Where have the years gone?
I've been unsuccessful in my attempt to stop the hands of time so that I can hold onto my little ones for as long as I possibly can. Today I'm selfishly wishing I could stop Father Time so that this lovely aging process might be stopped as well!
I will say that the more years I add to my life, the more clearly I see, the more deeply I feel, and the more unabashedly I love. In that respect, age is a wonderful gift!
