We finally found the download cord to a lost camera so we have a little catch-up on a few activities this summer. On the final day of Wimbledon, Little G had a good idea that we should try to go. I was skeptical as the ticket demand was high (Nadal/Federer) and the weather forecast looking gloomy. The key thing about Wimbledon was they do keep 1,500 tickets available to the general public each day so we gave it a shot and went down for the long queue.
With the line about a few hundred yards long, we anxiously waited for about hour and were one of the last people to get tickets for the big day. We got great tickets for the day on Court 1 and were looking forward to a great day of tennis.
As a typical day in London, the weather can turn quickly and immediately after we got into the stadium the rain arrived. After passing time through numerous rain delays, eating their famous strawberries and cream and walking around the great grounds, the tennis finally started.
We had a great day watching the Boy's and senior doubles championship.
In between and during the matches, we were also watched on Henman's Hill the main match of the day - Nadal and Federer. For those who did not watch this battle, it ended up being one of the greatest tennis matches in history of Wimbledon and has converted Little G into wanting to play more tennis.
I have to admit that Wimbledon exceed all of our expectations. The history and tradition of the tournament was nothing like that I have experienced in watching any major sporting event. It is truly a unique place in our sports history and a place that I recommend that you try to attend even if you are not a sport's fan.

Hey, little G,
I'm glad you were successful in standing in line and getting Wimbledon tickets - better than standing in line and NOT getting Lion King tickets!
Love, MiMi
