More of our Snow Day

Seems all of London enjoyed the day off on Monday to cavort in the snow. Now the papers are tearing the city to shreds about it's lack of preparedness. Almost all of our public transport was closed, school were closed, hospitals remained open but were staffed by skeleton crews. The city was virtually crippled by the snow, although it had been in the forecast for days. Dare I say it a-gain, we're not in Kansas anymore! When ice is predicted in Dallas, news coverage comes around the clock, sand trucks are loaded and waiting, and everyone rushes to the store to fill their cupboards with non-perishable goods. Here everyone seems to stay calm and carry on . . .

From your pictures, it looks like you got maybe 4 inches? Is that it? And it paralyzed the city?
