Girls Gone Wild - London Edition

My dear girlfriends from school came into town last weekend for a much needed reunion and good catching up.

And I just have to point out the irony of this title because it literally has me doubled over laughing thinking back to our weekend together.

Not sure if it's the years that continue to creep upon us at lightning speed or if it's the fact that we have 14 children between us . . . whatever the reason, those crazy days and nights that we enjoyed back in the day seem quite elusive now. We much preferred to enjoy the city sights between great meals while catching up over a glass of wine, followed by a cappuccino nightcap! A far, far cry from our evenings spent at mixers and date parties or at Carneys and the Tap!

First tour was of Buckingham:

Followed by the Tower of London:

St Pauls:
A little shopping at the Portobello Road market:

touring Kensington:

a stop by 10 Downing Street:

Big Ben and Parliament:

followed by a service at Westminster:

on our way to do a little more shopping:

dinner back at the house where G had prepared our traditional summer Pimms cocktails:

Cheers to a fabulous weekend! Thank you so much for making the long haul across the pond, and thank you to those that cared for those 14 little ones so that we could enjoy a little time together!
