Parting is Such Sweet Sorrow

This part of relocating stinks. There is no other way to say it and it does not get easier with practice!

We could not have enjoyed our time both in London and in Boston more than we did. We have been blessed with dear friends both near and far in each home that we have settled and it is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye.

We've had such fun at several gatherings to bid farewell to those we hold close. The Pizzellas and the Atallahs hosted a fabulous cookout for our Arnold Road friends and neighbors.

My dear friends Wendy and Lisa hosted a beautiful surprise luncheon for my most favorite Upham mom friends too.

And the wonderful and lovely Rubin family invited us over for dinner so Gil and his best school buddy Kyle could say their goodbyes, man that was a sad drive home!

We have had many family conversations about how exciting and great it is to be going back to Dallas where we will be much closer to our family and many friends. We have also cried many a tear realizing how difficult it is to say goodbye to our Boston "family" too. We are blessed beyond measure to have so many dear friends here that make our departure so hard on us all.

This process is filled with emotion. None of this is easy. None of this is fun. Saying goodbye stinks.
