Stadtpark

Following our day of touring, the boys napped during dinner and awoke with a second wind. We took advantage of their burst of energy and explored Stadtpark which was directly across the street from our hotel. We entered and found this lovely gilded statue of Johann Strauss:

G joined the local Viennese boys for a football game, not at all phased by the fact that they had to have been at least 3 to 5 years his senior:

And yes, this ball went just past the goalkeeper and G scored:

Meanwhile the little ones enjoyed playing in the sand. Look closely at little B and just know that I am still finding sand in his ears from this particular day in the sand box. And also notice how neat and tidy S remained:

And the biggest boy of our group enjoyed introducing his offspring to extreme skating via the buggy, their favorite was going vert on the half-pipe (can you believe how well versed I am in skateboarding):

Even these antics did not wear our 3 little stooges out, so an excursion to the hotel pool was next on our agenda:

This ended a full day for the Nelson Five!

Be still my heart, I loved the statue of Johann Strauss. And as I started reading the next line, I was sure Gil joined the Vienna Boys CHOIR - not football team! Oh well, I know he likes to sing and play his guitar as well.

And Beck and Sloan - how does that little child manage to get so much stuff on himself? He looks like a sand magnet. Sloan was obviously keeping a distance!

And of course, matching swimsuits! C, you are too much.

Thanks for the update. Love to all of you.
