We turned our physical relocation into a Nelson Family Road Trip and our first stop upon leaving Boston was Philadelphia. Here we are leaving Boston for the last time, you have no idea how many tears had been shed up until this point!
Our first day on the road looked like this most of the time, a true test of our patience! Have to hand it to the boys though, we didn't hear a peep from the back seat the entire drive.
Needless to say, we were thrilled to finally descend upon the city and found it to be quite lovely! I was particularly struck by the diverse range of architecture throughout the city. Reminded me of London in that regard.
Our first stop was to see the Liberty Bell, especially beautiful lit up at sunset!
And then on to Independence Hall
A fabulous first day on the road and a much needed diversion from our sad departure!
