Greg proposed to me on the top of this mountain, we went back to celebrate our 10th anniversary so it was only fitting to get back for this one as well.
We enjoyed a bit of tennis here, such a gorgeous backdrop in which to play!
This might just be my favorite photo of our holiday. This is when Greg was down 2-1. I should have stopped there, we finished at 5-7 (Greg). Next time!
After our tennis match we decided to take on Camelback Mountain. This hike through Echo Canyon was way more than we bargained for but we made it up. The double black diamond trail rating should have been our first clue as to the difficulty of the terrain. We were not to be deterred when we saw those little black diamonds on the very first sign which is clear evidence of our lack of hiking expertise!
Now we are very familiar with the trail rating system:
The views were amazing, especially when we could catch our breath long enough to look up!
Post hike activity was here!
Followed by a perfect sunset and dinner to reminisce about our wedding day 20 years ago.
What a treat it was to slip away for the week with my most favorite person in this world. I can't imagine doing life without him by my side!
